The prediction tool has been developed for patients with non-metastatic major salivary gland carcinoma who have undergone surgical treatment of the primary tumor +/- neck dissection with curative intent. It is not intended for patients diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma and exhibiting features indicative of nodal spread from an undetected mucosal or skin primary, patients with minor salivary gland carcinoma, recurrent tumors, or prior surgery or radiation therapy in the head and neck region.
